Savor the flavors of Rio Downtown throught a walking to discover why locals love to eat on the streets. Forget about the beaches, come to Lapa, the heart of the city for an original food tour. Beyond the yummy experience, we will also highlight the cultural and vibrant scene of the neighborhood famous for its nightlife, including a stop at the world-famous colorful piece of art, the Selaron Stairway. The Rio Street Food explores Lapa and its secrets gems. You will have the chance to try the most authentic street food specialties and learn about their history and recipes, such as churrasquinho (brazilian bbq), salgadinho ( kind of fried or roasted snacks filled with cheese and ham; meat or chicken), the street açai ( not the same you find at a snack bar), of course the authentic cocktail caipirinha, the acarajé ( afrobrazilian dish) and some extra daily treat! Indeed, meeting the Cariocas ( Rio locals) is an important part of the experience.
We want you to enjoy the city as a local not simply as a visitor!
