Travel back in time and spend the day following the path of Africans in Bahia and the legacy to Brazilian society. On this tour we'll take a drive to Bahia countryside region of Recôncavo Baiano, towards Cachoeira city also known as a “National Monument City”, the place has some of the most important buildings that are part of the Brazilian history. One of the highlights of the city is the Good Death Sisterhood, a group of devout black women that honor the lives of Black people who have passed with an annual celebratory event called Boa Morte. When the Sisterhood was created in the early 1800s, the sisters set about collecting money that would be used to purchase the freedom of Black slaved.
